Q. When do I call a home inspector?

A. A home inspector is usually contacted after the contract or purchase agreement has been signed. Before a buyer signs, they should be sure there is an inspection clause in the sales contract.

Q. Do I have to be there?

A. It is not necessary for you be present for the inspection,but you are welcome to do so. We like to schedule our inspections for 3 hour periods. We request that the inspector is there the first 2 hours alone so they can focus on the home with no destractions. We then leave the last hour to go over the report with the customer and point out any concerns with the property.

Q. If the house proves to be in good condition, did I really need an inspection?

A. For sure! Now you can finish your home purchase with peace of mind. You’ll have learned many things about your new home from the written report. Always make sure to keep your report for future reference.
